This book takes those early concepts and brings forth new ways of interpreting stories that can help us learn to survive the difficulties we all face with modern society. The stories herein illustrate how women treat interactions collaboratively rather than competitively. Simmons perceptively and accurately parses each story told by the women in this book so that they makes sense from a collaborative point of view. She uses the example of sexual dimorphism to clarify the dynamics between the sexes, then gives concrete examples of how we can work together to make our world a better place. The competitive narrative of businesss and current politics, with its narrow scope of moral concerns (we /us vs they /them) has not been good for the climate change or current politics. This book is not about capitalism or politics, but it will help us in the dog eat dog system we are in to gain insights into ways that we can collaborate and make our personal and business relationship work not just for the few but for the many. So board rooms, executive offices, and political campaigns are still dominated by a masculine paradigm of success.
